PPM & Colloidal Silver: What You Need to Know
1. Water Quality Matters
Minerals in water = cloudy CS.
Silver particles attach to minerals, forming larger, cloudy particles.
Clear CS requires mineral-free water such as:
Distilled water
Reverse osmosis water
De-ionized water
If only mineral-rich water is available:
Brew 10–20 minutes or until water becomes too cloudy.
2. Cloudy CS – Is It Still Effective?
Cloudy CS can still work, but it has larger silver particles.
Example: Missionaries in India used Ganges River water and saw results against waterborne pathogens.
Effectiveness depends more on particle size than appearance.
3. Understanding PPM (Parts Per Million)
Myth: Higher PPM = better effectiveness.
Truth: Small particles are what kill pathogens, not higher amounts.
Research shows:
2.5–5 ppm: Highly effective at killing pathogens.
10 ppm: Slightly stronger, but not significantly.
Above 10 ppm: No added benefit — may even be less effective.
