What Is Fascia?
Fascia is a connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles, bones, organs, and other structures of the body. Acting as a continuous, web-like network, it provides stability, structure, and protection while also allowing for flexibility and movement.
When fascia becomes restricted or dysfunctional, it can contribute to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. This is why many holistic healing and bodywork modalities place special emphasis on fascia — helping to restore balance, ease tension, and improve overall movement and well-being.
